  24   CHRISTINE ROMANS
Christine Romans originally came to Iowa State to study science. Just for fun, she decided to take a journalism class. Which led to another journalism class. Which led to joining the Iowa State Daily. Which led to becoming editor. Which led to an internship at the Des Moines Register. Which led to the discovering that she enjoyed reporting a whole lot more than cramming for chemistry exams. So Christine took a different path. And never looked back.

It was a path that would lead her to reporting for Knight-Ridder, Reuters,
and then CNN Business News. There she tracked the market’s boom through the late '90's and the downfall after Sept. 11. Along the way, she interviewed hundreds of guests on-air, from the mundane to the famous as a correspondent for "Lou Dobbs Tonight."

Still based in New York City, Christine Romans frequently commutes to CNN headquarters in Atlanta where she anchors the weekend news and gives news updates every half hour.
